Willis Miller writes about local happenings
Willis Miller is a scribe. A member of the New Order Amish Church, he is one of dozens of Amish writers from across the globe, who create “letters from home” to their kindred “plain people” on happenings in their communities.
These scribes fill two sections of the legendary “Budget” weekly newspaper, www.thebudgetnewspaper.com published in nearby Sugarcreek and distributed to Amish communities everywhere.
As scribes go, Willis is among the best. A humble man, entirely self-taught in the pursuit of prose, he breathes life into his hand-written stories and observations.
